Nationwide Concrete Flooring has recently completed an external concrete flooring slab replacement project over a period of 5 days from start to completion.
Nationwide Concrete Flooring used their expertise and specialist equipment to carry out the full depth saw cutting of the existing slab.
The slab sections measuring 2mx1m were then lifted onto our low loader and removed from site to a local waste recycling facility.
The sub base was re-graded and compacted using the sub base compact leveller. Steel dowel bars were installed using the drill & dowel system (see photo).
Steel fibres were integrated into the concrete trucks (see photo) to increase impact resistance and then poured into the prepared area. Concrete was then laid & levelled using the laser screed machine.
A rough pan power floated finish was applied to the surface of the concrete to improve anti slip characteristics.
The inducing of the saw cut joints was carried out early the following morning to control shrinkage of the concrete.
The saw cuts were sealed immediately after this process using Nationwide Instant Seal 101 concrete slab joint sealant.
