Nationwide Concrete Flooring has recently completed another agricultural project near Mansfield in Nottinghamshire for a client requiring fibre reinforced concrete flooring. The total area of 4,600m2 laser screed concrete flooring was laid over a two day period. Polypropylene fibres were integrated into the concrete and directly discharged from the ready-mix trucks. Utilising the SXP-D Somero laser screed the concrete was poured and laid within a matter of hours.
NCF’s competent finishing team finished the 2 bases using ride on powerfloating equipment to create a smooth and polished surface finish. The following day the saw cut induced contraction joints were introduced at an early stage to control the movement and shrinkage of the completed concrete slabs. These joints were sealed using Nationwide’s own Instant Seal 101 concrete joint sealant to help protect the joint and increase both the lifespan and cleanliness, maintaining a clean concrete floor.
