Nationwide Concrete Flooring have recently completed a steel fibre reinforced concrete flooring project for an agricultural client at Hibaldstow for the installation of 4 chicken shed bases on 1 site. 2250m2 of concrete was pumped in 1 day with reinforced polypropylene fibres.
The newly purchased SXP-D laser screed was used for the laying of the concrete for this particular project. Our highly experienced finishing team used the power floats with a smooth finish to complete the reinforced concrete flooring slabs; this is the most common type of finish used.
The slabs were then cured using a curing agent which was supplied by NCF. After 24 hours the saw cuts were induced to control shrinkage of the fibre reinforced concrete flooring.
The client opted for our frequently used instant seal 101 concrete slab joint sealant placed in the saw cut induced contraction joints.
