Polybell organics required a purpose built warehouse to be constructed in the arable area of Bawtry in South Yorkshire. Nationwide Concrete Flooring, Yorkshire’s local concrete flooring contractor, was constructed to design and install the internal concrete floor slab.
Nationwide Concrete Flooring took over the working platform approximately 40mm to the underside of the slab level. The final grading was carried out using the laser guided sub base compact leveller provided by the concrete flooring contractor. This piece of machinery ensures the final trimming layer of an extremely level and accurate tolerance and minimises the chance of sub base ruts due to traffic movements.
The following day the Nationwide Concrete Flooring team arrived on site and laid the area of 1,500m2 in one day utilising the Somero SXP-D laser screed. Doorway details were particularly important to the client and so stainless steel C section angle supplied by permanban was installed to a timber shutter in order to protect the edge of the slab from breakdown. Saw cut joints were cut and installed the following morning and joints sealed with Nationwide’s instant seal 101 concrete slab joint sealant at the same time, a solution developed and provided by the Yorkshire-based .
