Nationwide Concrete Flooring the industrial concrete flooring contractors based in Goole, east Yorkshire has recently completed the construction of a new warehouse concrete floor slab on behalf of both Home Bargains and Lidl in Sheffield, South Yorkshire.
The retail units which equated to an area of approximately 40,000 square feet in size were constructed using the concrete flooring contractors Somer laser screed concrete floor laying machine to the Concrete Societies TR34 FM2 tolerance. To cater for the variable floor loading patterns, the concrete floors were designed with a specific perimeter U bar detail and steel fabric mesh reinforcement within the main body of the concrete floors themselves. Nationwide Concrete Flooring’s skilled workforce utilised a mobile concrete pump in conjunction with the laser screed to enable the concrete provided by Ritemix from Sheffield to be laid to the correct standard within the warehouse floor areas.
On completion of the various different floor fishes ranging from a skip float finish to full powerfloat in the “back of house” warehousing sections, the saw cut joints were installed and sealed using the Instant Seal 101 joint sealant product.
The industrial concrete flooring contractors then sealed the concrete floors with a Sika curing agent to minimise the potential for the concrete to dust during the drying process.
